Art never recorded (formally) with Don Ellis's band, but he rehearsed and performed with them. He found the weird time signatures challenging and exhilarating. This is a rehearsal of a tune by Milcho Leviev, the pianist Art shared with Don (who sponsored Milcho when he came to the US from Bulgaria). There's a nice Art Pepper solo here, tho recording quality stinks.
