This is pure beauty, pure inspiration. Nobody could play a ballad like Art Pepper. Nobody. In 1975 Art was resuming his career and at that time he played some gigs at the "Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society." in half-moon bay. I was checking out some old hard drives and found this recording. Pianist is Ed Kelly, Bass, Kenny Jenkins, Drums Brad Bilhorn. the tape box says Mirimar, CA. but that can't be right. BD&D sessions were at Pete Douglas's Beach House--which is where I took this picture) I have more music from this gig. Will probably eventually release the whole hour show. (I think some bootleggers already have). Recorded by Charles Loftus, Jr.
